One of my old coworkers just raged about Bruges (Brugge) so I had to check it out. A cute little town in Belgium that lays over waterways and canals. Plus waffles, chocolate and beer? Well OK!
The day I got there it was a little rainy, so I walked around until dusk then headed back to the hostel.
The next day my roommate said there was a walking tour leaving from another hostel in the city. However upon arriving it was cancelled. We decided to walk around and check out the area, a church, etc. Then we ate lunch at this cute little tea room. They had an amazing chicken curry sandwich. :)
The town had cute little vendors out, like a huge antique mall all out down their streets! It was so nice!

And do you know that I never tried ANY of them! I want to slap myself! I kept saying "I'll try the next place" and that just never happened. If you recognize anything as awesome you must act. :) At the friggin train station I stopped at a chocolate store. They actually turned out to be pretty good though!!
Bruges is such a simple place, a simple life. I did a load of laundry at the laundry mat near the hostel. It was kind of nice to just sit and see how people really LIVE.

That last night we closed it out with a local dinner and local beer.
Bruges is great for any occasion. How could a place with world renowned chocolate, beer and waffles be?
Belgium chocolates are the BEST!! Yum!
