FLORENCE

As soon as I stepped off the train in Florence I could feel the heat in the air.  I instantly smiled.  From Switzerland this was excitingly refreshing.  :)

Walking through the city streets of Florence I could not help but get excited.  The bustling of the city streets, the vendors, and the warm air made me feel like I was on spring break, but not at a beach.  Get me to my hostel I am ready to explore!

Before I could even get there, I turned a corner and saw the Duomo!

My first day I just walked around to check out the area.  Florence is so beautiful!!

I met a couple girls at the hostel and we decided to go out for a nice Italian dinner.  Check out my first meal in Italy!

Day two I decided to do a walking tour of Florence.  The previous walking tours I've done have been spectacular!  However this one was like paint drying.  Poor guy.  English was not his first language and he was just not exciting.  I stayed with it though and luckily met a girl who wanted to hang afterwards.  We went inside the Duomo and after had lunch.  We walked around, had gelato and shopped.  It was actually a very nice day!!

Day three was a day tour of Cinque Terre!!!  If you have not heard of this place you need to google it!  Beautiful seaside towns, colorful and aged, almost toppling in the water...........YES please!

There are five towns that make up Cinque Terre.  We took trains and hiked between them.  One hike was a beautiful 1.5 hours with amazing views!!

We ended the day at Cinque Terre with a boat ride down the coast.  It couldnt have been more perfect.

Its amazing to see how people live, especially sometimes so simply.  Inspiration is all around us, we just have to see.

My last day in Florence I decided to just chill.  We walked around the market and went out to lunch.  I was so tired from the full day at Cinque Terre!

Florence is an extremely beautiful place, in an excellent location.  You have access to day trips to the coast, or day trips out in wine country.  Florence is a must see if you are ever in Italy!!
