Buddha

This tab will almost always be under construction, as spiritual fulfillment (for me) is a continual process.  My whole life I've considered myself a Christian, however I started reading into Buddhism in early 2011 and I haven't been able to stop.  I love what it stands for and who it forces me to be.  It forces me to live my life TODAY, for tomorrow is not promised.  It also makes you realize just what all you HAVE, versus what you feel you do not have.

It's such a positive way of life, there's no judgement or negativity.  You know when you just feel a pull toward something.  This is one of those things for me.

The first Buddhism book I read was "Buddhism Plain and Simple" by Steve Hagan.  GREAT BOOK!  This book goes in great detail, but just stick with and when you're done your mind will smile.  This is a great introductory book if you want to start reading into Buddhism.

I'm longing to find a Buddhist/Spiritual center I can attend.  But I've also thought about changing my dining room into somewhat of a meditation/relaxation room.  What a fun an interesting project.....we'll see.

I went to see an energy reader/healer when I was out of work and confused on which direction I needed to take.  What an AMAZING experience.  She recommended I read another book, "Many Lives Many Masters" by Brian L. Weiss.  WOW.  This book CHANGED me and my mindset.  My mind opened further.  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  It was such an amazing read I read it within a week!

  1. I just discovered your blog and I just love it! So far I've been able to travel within the U.S. and I am planning a trip abroad for next year. I too am a yogi and I have pretty new to Buddhism, I started studying last year and been regularly practicing Shin Buddhism in January, taking courses at my home temple. it is AMAZING and life changing! I would love to connect and share experiences and get some tips on travel abroad, and I'm interested in going to Tibet as well and I think it would be really cool if you could guest post on my blog! Check it out and let me know what you think DolphinOftheStars.weebly.com
