Subway Thoughts

The heart has deep trenches and deep tunnels that we often travel

With as deep as we’re digging shouldn’t we help each other out

I see you

and I feel you

And I know you feel me too

These layers

That others built

I can see and feel right through them

And I know you can too

Connect

Feel

Progress

Love

Grow

It’s what we’re here to do

Hungry

Hardships sharpen teeth
Ready to sink into what I haven't tasted
I'm starving for what I've always wanted
I want to find it now
Nothing else is what I want to know

Reflections

Safety in solace
Piercing privacy
Calms the cold

Warming the heart
Crazies the cautious
Fueling fire

Loving Life
Sweetens the sour
Illuminating love

In A Flash

Where did it start if it never really began
A whirlwind, I never thought this could've been the end
Flashing lights cover dim bulbs
Bulbs fragile like entering a new world
Comfort cracking breaks our familiar peace
Bulbs dropping breaking us into exposed pieces
Enduring the awkward always trumps defeat
Candy stores sometimes, they're just too damn sweet

Rumi

"The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was."

“When you open yourself to the continually changing, impermanent, dynamic nature of your own being and of reality, you increase your capacity to love and care about other people and your capacity to not be afraid. You’re able to keep your eyes open, your heart open, and your mind open. And you notice when you get caught up in prejudice, bias, and aggression. You develop an enthusiasm for no longer watering those negative seeds, from now until the day you die. And, you begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently.”

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek & find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
